Snapping hip is a condition in which you hear a clicking noise located in your hip. This happens when tight muscles in the hip snap over a bony prominence. In a normal situation, the muscles around the hip glide over the bones. This doesn’t happen when the muscle is tight as it can get “snagged” and snapping will happen over the bone. Often the snapping is painless but can interfere with your performance, it is advised to see a sports physiotherapist and not ignore the problem.
